What is Time in Lieu?

L14.08 Time Off In Lieu (a) Employees who are requested or required by their Supervisor, or designate, to work beyond the normally scheduled work day for emergency situations involving students or for functions (such as, but not limited to, Incidents involving student safety, Parent-Teacher interviews, Employer mandated professional development or open houses) shall be entitled to equivalent time off in lieu at a mutually agreeable time and where time in lieu is not operationally feasible, the additional hours worked shall be paid at straight time.
